RSA

RSA Security LLC, formerly known as RSA Security, Inc., and commonly referred to as RSA, is an American computer and network security company specializing in encryption and decryption standards.

The company’s name RSA comes from the initials of its founders: Ron Rivest, Adi Shamir, and Leonard Adleman, who also developed the RSA public-key cryptography algorithm.

Among RSA’s key products are the SecurID authentication tokens, and it originally owned the BSAFE cryptographic libraries.

RSA is also known for incorporating NSA-developed backdoors into its products. Additionally, the company organizes the annual RSA Conference, one of the most prominent events in information security.

ITC - Gold Partner of RSA

Founded as an independent company in 1982, RSA Security was acquired by EMC Corporation in 2006 for $2.1 billion, operating as a division within EMC.

When EMC was acquired by Dell Technologies in 2016, RSA became part of the Dell Technologies brand family. However, on March 10, 2020, Dell Technologies announced the sale of RSA Security to a consortium led by Symphony Technology Group (STG), Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan Board (Ontario Teachers’), and AlpInvest Partners (AlpInvest) for $2.1 billion—the same price EMC originally paid in 2006.

RSA is headquartered in Chelmsford, Massachusetts, with regional headquarters in Bracknell (UK) and Singapore, along with numerous international offices.

ITC began its partnership with RSA in 2011 and is recognized as a Gold Partner of RSA.
