Overview
High-Performance Computing (HPC) refers to using computational power to perform tasks at speeds far beyond typical computers. It achieves this by leveraging parallel processing systems where servers work together to complete tasks using technologies like CPU-GPU processing and specialized chips.
An HPC cluster consists of hundreds or thousands of interconnected compute nodes, working in parallel to accelerate processing. HPC solutions can be deployed in infrastructure, edge computing, or cloud environments for various purposes:
Research Labs: HPC helps scientists discover renewable energy sources, understand the universe’s development, predict and track storms, and create new materials.
AI and Machine Learning: HPC is used for credit card fraud detection, autonomous vehicle training, and more.
