1.Requirements
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) requires secure data connections as well as voice and video conferencing services on a large scale with embassies around the world, based on a data center located in Vietnam.
2. Solutions
Based on the actual needs and thorough assessment and analysis, ITC has consulted and implemented trial solutions for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, specifically including:
- LAN network planning;
- Multi-layer firewalls set up by different vendors to ensure maximum security control at network access points and between various network layers;
- Establishing authentication systems: in addition to implementing standard access policies and access management, we have deployed a two-factor authentication solution with the most advanced token management;
- Setting up systems for detecting and preventing cyber attacks at the NIPS level and server/PC/laptop HIPS;
- Setting up and reviewing systems to detect potential fraud risks, enabling Administrators to regularly scan for vulnerabilities in the LAN and WAN networks at the embassies;
- Implementing bandwidth management systems to ensure quality policies for various services, especially those requiring real-time communication such as voice, video, or MOFA’s special data services;
- Network management software.
