There will always be journeys remembered through hundreds of photographs, yet what stays with us the longest is the feeling of experiencing them together. Core Team Tour 2026 was a 6-day, 6-night journey that brought ITC members to Beijing and Shanghai, where the beauty of China’s early autumn became the backdrop for unforgettable moments of connection.
Our journey to Beijing and Shanghai began on a drizzly afternoon. The gentle rain seemed to bid the group farewell as we left Hanoi, setting the stage for an early autumn adventure filled with exciting moments ahead.
Discovering the Thousand-Year Legacy of Beijing & A Peaceful Night in Gubei Water Town
Upon arriving in Beijing, the group began exploring two of China’s most iconic historical landmarks: Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City. After the rain, the sky became remarkably clear, allowing the golden glazed rooftops of the imperial palace to shine brilliantly against its timeless architecture, making every view feel like a scene from a historical film.
Leaving the heart of Beijing behind, the group traveled to Gubei Water Town – an ancient town nestled beneath the Great Wall. As night fell, warm lantern lights reflected across the tranquil canals, creating a setting that was both poetic and peaceful. It quickly became one of the most cherished evenings of the entire journey.
Conquering One of the Seven Wonders of the World
Back in Beijing, the group visited Prince Gong’s Mansion before taking on the magnificent Great Wall of China – a monumental masterpiece that has stood proudly for thousands of years. The cool weather of early September and the soft green mountains surrounding the ancient walls made the landscape appear both majestic and remarkably picturesque.
The journey continued with visits to the Temple of Heaven, the Summer Palace and some free time strolling along Wangfujing Street – Beijing’s most vibrant shopping district.
Shanghai – Where the Past Meets the Present
Leaving Beijing aboard a morning high-speed train, the group entered a new chapter of the journey – from the quiet elegance of the ancient capital to the dynamic energy of modern Shanghai.

In Shanghai, the group explored The Bund, Lujiazui, Nanjing Road, Wukang Road, the Oriental Pearl Tower, and the City God Temple. By day, the city’s streets showcased elegant European-inspired architecture; by night, the illuminated Huangpu River transformed Shanghai into a dazzling skyline filled with modern charm and vibrant life.
From the light rain on our departure day to the clear blue skies of China’s early autumn, every stop along the way became a beautiful memory. More than a sightseeing tour through Beijing and Shanghai, this journey was an opportunity to strengthen the bond among the people who continuously work together to steer ITC toward future success.
