ITC Team Building 2020 – Stronger Together

“Excited – Joyful – Giving it our all with bursts of laughter…!” These may be the lingering emotions etched in the hearts of ITC JSC family members after the Fall 2020 team-building trip.

Gathering at the company early on the morning of November 7th, all ITC JSC family members were filled with excitement for the journey to explore nature at Song Hong Resort, Vinh Phuc. The fresh atmosphere of the place seemed to ignite the fiery team spirit of ITC members throughout a series of thrilling team-building games. After the team introductions, the four teams had to go through intense and often hilarious challenges that had everyone laughing out loud. To win the games, it wasn’t just about physical strength—it also required intelligence, teamwork, and determination.

The first challenge was team formation. After a suspenseful draw, we were divided into four teams. In this round, we had to come up with a team name, slogan, mascot, and signature dance. Interestingly, all four teams—coincidentally—chose fish as their mascot, quickly asserting their competitiveness with impressive team spirit:

Team Shark Tank, donning ocean blue, showcased their power with the bold slogan:
“Shark never die!”

Team Swordfish, in fiery orange, fired back with their challenge: “Hunting sharks!”—a declaration that made the competition tense.

Team Baby Shark, in cool green, showed their agility and trendiness with the slogan: “Shark on the streets, baby fish at home.”

Team Goldfish, a name perfectly matching their banner and outfits, played it cool with the slogan: “Swim gently.” (But they finished strong!)

Next came the challenge “Overcoming Obstacles.”

In this game, team members paired up and rode inflatable horses toward a designated finish line. At the end, one player used a fishing rod to retrieve a box and then rode back to pass it to the next pair.

Team Baby Shark quickly took the lead with their agility, earning the first 4 points and topping the scoreboard.

Challenge 2: “United We Stand”, This challenge tested the role of team leaders and the effectiveness of team coordination. Each group had to move a five-tier tower from pole 1 to pole 3, using pole 2 as a transition. Sweat poured as the players strategized and executed their plans. With focus and logical thinking, Team Swordfish emerged victorious in this round.

As competition intensified, the teams entered Challenge 3: “Perfect Coordination.”
Three members linked arms, backs turned inward, balancing a yoga ball between them. The trio had to move the ball to the finish line, collect a puzzle piece, and return. The next group would repeat the process. The team that completed the puzzle correctly within the time limit would win.

This time, Team Shark Tank claimed victory. The race to the finish was fiercer than ever.

Challenge 4: “Super Intelligence” Teams received a set of letters and had to work together to form a meaningful message. The answer was the company acronym: ITC.

Team Goldfish impressed everyone and won this challenge.

Final Challenge: “Conquering the Goal” Everyone was excited to become archers! This game required high concentration and precise aim—just like in our work, where clear goals and focus lead to success. When aiming their bows, the fish teams looked seriously “cool.”

Team Shark Tank once again proved their prowess with a convincing win.

After five fun-yet-brainy challenges, Team Baby Shark, with their agility, clever strategies, and unwavering determination, came out on top with a total of 23 points, proudly earning the Gold Medal.

Every good time must come to an end. A day full of exhaustion, laughter, and shared memories—though short—was enough to help us understand each other better, to grow stronger together, and to treasure the bonds forged with each hug drenched in sweat and every shared smile in moments of victory that belonged to all of us.
