Inheriting the outstanding features of the Unity storage array line, Dell Technologies has launched the upgraded Unity XT – not just a hardware upgrade, but a re-architected hardware platform designed to improve performance and efficiency. With enhanced CPUs, memory, and storage capacity, Unity XT delivers faster data access speeds, better compression and deduplication ratios, and is fully ready for next-generation NVMe technology.
All models are built with dual-active storage processors, available in both All-Flash (380F/480F/680F/880F) and Hybrid (380/480/680/880) versions. The system comes equipped with a full suite of essential software features out of the box. Unity XT is ideal for high-performance virtualized applications and unified storage deployments (supporting NAS and VMware vVols), making it suitable for branch offices, representative offices, and cloud environments.
This storage array retains its ease of deployment and management. According to Dell Technologies, installation takes only a few minutes, and configuration through the Unisphere management interface takes approximately 15 minutes. Users can also experience the software-defined storage (SDS) version via UnityVSA and the cloud model on VMware Cloud on Amazon Web Services.
