On December 6, 2024, the charity delegation of ITC Technology Transfer Consulting Joint Stock Company successfully completed a meaningful journey, bringing the program “Warm Winter in the Highlands” to the Bản Hỏ school site in Xuân Lạc commune, Chợ Đồn district, Bắc Kạn province. This journey aimed not only to deliver practical gifts to students but also to share love and compassion, igniting hope for children in the highlands during the cold winter months.
Bản Hỏ – Where Love Is Sent
Nestled deep in the mountains of Bắc Kạn, the Bản Hỏ school site in Xuân Lạc commune is home to nearly 100 children, mostly from the Mông ethnic group, with over 50% of households classified as poor or near-poor. Life here remains difficult, with limited material conditions and educational infrastructure. Especially in winter, children must brave the freezing cold, trekking nearly ten kilometers across mountain passes to get to school with only thin clothing. This was the driving force that led ITC to initiate this charitable program.
The journey began at dawn as the delegation departed from ITC headquarters, bringing along gifts that represented the heartfelt contributions of all ITC employees. Despite traveling hundreds of kilometers through winding, muddy, and sometimes landslide-prone roads, the team remained undeterred, driven by the strong desire to bring warmth and love to the students of Bản Hỏ.
Heartfelt Gifts
Upon arriving at Bản Hỏ school, the ITC delegation delivered not just material items but gifts filled with compassion and sharing for the teachers and students:
- One 55-inch Smart TV – A modern teaching tool opening new doors to knowledge, making lessons more engaging and interactive. This television symbolizes the bridge between technology and education.
- One Aqua Star water purifier – Providing clean and safe drinking water, contributing to better health for teachers and students, especially in such deprived conditions.
- 30 scholarships worth 1 million VND each, offered as meaningful encouragement to students from difficult backgrounds who continue to strive in their studies.
- 100 gift packages including backpacks, uniforms, books, and school supplies – Small but practical gifts to accompany the children on their educational journey.
- 20 blankets and warm clothes donated by company employees – acts of love and care, helping children endure the biting cold of the highland winter.
The total value of these gifts reached 120 million VND, but the spiritual value they carried was immeasurable. They brought faith, hope, and motivation—like small flames warming hearts and strengthening the spirits of teachers and students in Bản Hỏ.
Touching Moments
The gift-giving ceremony took place in a warm and emotional atmosphere. The students lined up neatly, eyes sparkling with joy as they received their gifts. The ITC team spent time interacting, taking commemorative photos, and chatting with the children. Laughter echoed across the schoolyard, dispelling the cold mountain air.
A particularly moving moment occurred during the interaction session when the team listened to heartfelt stories from the teachers. A young teacher shared:
“We are deeply touched by the care of the ITC team. Honestly, before you came, the students had never seen a school uniform coat. Watching them excitedly wear their new jackets made me feel happy for them. These gifts not only improve our facilities but also serve as great encouragement for our students. I hope they will keep smiling and continue striving in their studies.”
